Help us gather information about IoT for smallholder ag in developing countries

Hello GOAT community,

A few of us from D-Lab at MIT (http://d-lab.mit.edu/) have been working with USAID Digital Development for Feed the Future and @dornawcox on a landscape analysis of IoT for smallholder agriculture in developing countries. We’re particularly interested in sensor hardware that has, or could have relevance in the smallholder context. We are looking to get input from folks in the GOAT community through a brief online survey (https://goo.gl/forms/Wg3gzQ0qGBrrxbiO2) - If you have a moment to offer your input, please participate and also share with other relevant colleagues.

Also, if you know any specific cases where IoT has been implemented in smallholder farms in developing countries, we would be grateful if you could share information on those.

Many thanks!
Anish, Dan and Jenn from D-Lab

Hi Dan, Thank you for posting to the GOAT forum and welcome to the community! I am very curious to see the results of the survey which will also be useful for the GOAT community. I will also encourage folks at the Biddy GOAT gathering later this week to take the survey.

Dear GOAT community- If you have a moment to complete our brief survey on IoT in agriculture, we would be grateful for your input, and we will be sure to share our findings with GOAT when we complete this review in the spring.
