For work I teach intro CS classes (and developing a no-cost set of course materials, and advising my first club!) as an adjunct at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA and work as a Tenant Advocate on Fri/Sat nights for Friendship Shelter (permanent supportive housing for folks who qualify for SSDI and were unhoused for a minimum of one year immediately before joining the program).

In the early 90s I was a successful 200 mi radius locavore for 18 months living in Reno, Nv. Doing this better is an iterative practice. I’m looking forward to new ideas at GOAT : )

Our household is three adults (not romantically involved), one (sometimes two) teenager/s, five cats, and sometimes a dog.

At the moment I’m feeling hopeful in possible futures, I would like to better position my teaching/learning practices within open ag.

Philosophically, I’m fond of informed consent, local control, mutual aid and prosocial success metrics.
