Welcome and Framing (10 minutes)
- Attendee introductions in the chat
- Overview of the conventions and standards effort. Primary objectives:
- “Why this standard matters” case examples: pilot cases with DFC, BD4D, and CFC; output: template
- Adoption document review activity — pilot process on DFC, BD4D, and CFC; outputs: improved documentation, process for self-assessment toward documentation improvement
- Ecosystem Map — inventory of conventions and standards developed or utilized by the community and ag tech broadly; outputs: pilot data model/inventory snapshot, “Where to Begin” guide
- Framing question: Are we doing the right thing? Are the right people in the room?
Case Examples Introduction (20 minutes)
- Introduce the three cases template and case examples (Data Food Consortium, Better Deal for Data, Common Farm COnvention)
- Recruit participants for the document review sessions
Ecosystem Map (10 minutes)
- Review the standards ecosystem data model and inventory
- Review outline for the “Where to Begin” guide
- Input opportunity: suggest specifications that should be included in the inventory
Closing Discussion (20 minutes)
- Are we doing the right things? Who else should be in the room?
- What other standards should be explored or created?
