I started thinking about atmospheric water collectors last night.
I haven’t had time yet to do a deep dive into the existing literature and tech, so I don’t know what scales are possible and what the power requirements and tradeoffs are. But in New England where I am, hot and humid summers with infrequent rain is common, and being able to set up an irrigation system that doesn’t need a well or river (or pumping if you install it up on a platform) would be really valuable if it could generate enough water to be worth the trouble.
Fluid systems/ thermo/ heat transfer are particularly interesting to me, so I’m really excited to look into this idea. I’ll update this thread as I find any interesting or relevant resources.
