CAFF seeks to hire two people to join our Farmer Services team. Each role’s core responsibility will be providing direct technical support to small farmers across California on one or more of the following topics: organic transition, food safety compliance, small farm technology & supporting the Tech Hub, and farmer funding. These positions will be part of a six-person Farmer Services team and work collaboratively with other farmer services staff. We expect these positions to help create farmer-facing resources (written, podcasts, etc.), run virtual and in-person trainings, and work one-on-one and in small groups helping provide farmers with technical assistance on the topics mentioned. CAFF has some flexibility on where these positions are located in the state, so we are posting an open solicitation for people interested in working at CAFF and the role in general. Once we complete interviews, we will develop specific job descriptions for the two positions.
