Sorry this is kind of a pitch, but we have funds available and want to make sure folks know and can share →
Through Our Sci’s experience working with farms and food system organizations, we found that these tasks were time consuming, hard to do, and costly to execute:
» Collecting and cleaning data from dozens (or hundreds) of farms across different systems
» Creating meaningful reports and benchmarking data for stakeholders
» Evaluating and implementing better tech and process solutions
Our Sci created the 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗧) fund with funds awarded through Float (a collaboration between the Schmidt Family Foundation / 11th Hour Project and Raft Foundation) to help farm organizations address these issues. We’re specifically targeting: farms, food hubs, conservation districts, farmer cooperatives, and agricultural nonprofits.
We’ve been running this program since January and have supported 13 organizations in connecting sale tools with other websites, profitability analyses, identifying tools to improve data pipelines, and customize open source tools to organizational needs.
We still have funds left and need to spend them by the end of the year. Please respond below or email me if an org you work with needs the following sort of services and might interested in participating:
-
Evaluating software options and building efficient data management workflows
-
Simplifying data collection across multiple farms
-
Creating automated reporting and benchmarking systems
-
Strengthening local markets and food hubs
-
Migrating from expensive proprietary platforms to ethical, community tech options
-
And anything else tech or process related
How this program works:
Every eligible organization receives 𝟱 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦 of expert consultation.
