Demo Bazaar is a time to show us what you do and teach people how to use your stuff! We will have tables setup for anyone who wants to demo tools, methods, or do any other hands-on activities.
If you have specific space needs (e.g., access to electricity, more than one table, a table with chairs), let us know and we’ll see what we can do. We cannot provide monitors and other peripherals so please come prepared. That said, If you ARE coming from far away and need help situating generic equipment, share in your post, and we’ll see if we can connect you with another participant that can help!
If you want a table for Demo Bazaar → Post here to sign up!
Hello! Can the demo bazaar also be a space to host info sessions & extra discussion space? We were thinking of sharing copies of our drafted principles for appropriate technology and allowing people to self-assess. And maybe also having a “small farm innovation challenge” table where folks can meet-up to hack an idea or something. Let us know!
Yes, absolutely, the demos are just a space for hands-on sessions where you’d like to sit with people ad-hoc and do “stuff”, whether it’s show your tech, share info, or work on something. If you’d like a more defined space/group, consider a workshop instead!
I would like to set up an area where people can test out the FarmHand tractor. Additionally, I hope to have at least one day dedicated to removing the skins/covers of the FarmHand tractor so that people can see the internal components and look at integration possibilities. Would this be possible?
I have a card table and all the basic fabric repair whatnot (threads in various colors, needles, waterproofing products for tents and backpacks, etc). We’re driving so packing things is easy.
If you have thing in a bag in your closet that you keep meaning to put the button back on, or that sweater you really want to wear but it has a hole in armpit? I’m happy to soak up the inspirational conversation, drink warm things and fiddle with fixing your whatnot.
I’d like a table next to GOAT booth for MODUS Lab Method Library, Participatory Data Stewardship, etc. Basically its my laptop, a couple of print outs. Next to GOAT booth so i can run GOAT booth too.
Ok… so it sounds like I’m packing card tables! I have two I can bring… my whatnot has a small space requirement and I’m happy to share with your laptop and GOAT booths. : )
CAFF partners will take 2-3 tables if there is still time. Innovation Challenge and one to collect feedback and have 1:1 discussions on our appropriate technology principles. (Elizabeth, Rebekka, and Manpreet are the reps)
