I tried to take notes for the presentations, too, and copied the chat before I left.

- Documenting the system
- How to do that by Sep 2025
- communally rooted in order to respond to community needs
- ways to make the registry publicly facing, instead of just internally facing to NRCS
- open to suggestions for how this might be feasible (or contexts to move this to?)
- Demo: Juliet & Vic
- Melanie

[13:06] Nadia: hi! this is Nadia, also a dwebber trying to connect with goat too
[13:07] asú: hi all! a few of you know me by another name, i’ve transitioned to asú! since dweb 24, super happy to be part of this circle! cheersss
[13:07] ankita: Hi, I’m Ankita, GOATer and prof/researcher. Good to see many familiar faces (and some new ones too!). Was at dweb too!
[13:08] Jamie: I’ll fill out the when2meet, sorry I’ve been abysmal responding to email lately
[13:08] Juliet: Request for Content for Quaterly Newsletters!
[13:09] Jamie: also drafting a newsletter blurb as we speak

[13:13] Samuel: Such an amazing initiaitve, Jesus!
[13:13] Jesus Torres: thank you!
[13:13] Anna Lynton: Cool!! Is there other ways to support Jesus? Share with those who can benefit from it?

[13:14] Samuel: Asú could you tell us a. little more on the project in general
[13:14] Jamie: congrats Nadia! huzzah!

[13:18] Jamie: is anyone recording?
[13:18] Nathan: Perhaps more with Samuel but I am here haha
[13:20] ankita: we’re not recording but i believe there’s running notes floating here
[13:20] Vic S-F (they/them): TRAC - FAIR Tech Registry Documentation
[13:30] ankita: Do you plan on having a community call specifically on the TRAC project as a means to plan for next steps?
I suspect it might be helpful to get a more in-depth walkthrough on the various parts of TRAC (the SOPs, the tool prototype, what NRCS components are vs the genertic components etc.).
Several orgs have tool inventories and analogous processes, and it might be good to identify nextStewards that way.
[13:32] Jamie: so is the selection process one that is repeated for each “context” or deployment you might be exploring (eg, NRCS) from scratch? or is there something like a superset registry that narrows it down? (or am I misunderstanding the prcess entirely?)
[13:34] Jamie: thanks!
[13:34] ankita: ideally, having the generic / master registry available as an open source code base can allow for people to look at this as a reference architecture
[13:36] Samuel: Thanks Vic. Agree that having a Goat dedicated thread would be great
[13:36] Vic S-F (they/them): vspindlerfox @ wolfesneck.org is my new best email to contact me!
[13:36] ankita: Just saying thanks for sharing
[13:36] Anna Lynton: Thanks Vic!! Exciting to see how this has developed
[13:36] Jamie: (also, as unsolicited design feedback, it’d be cool if you could filter on some kind of rating for “Findable” / “Accessible” / etc, then maybe include non-FAIR tools that don’t check all boxes for comparison, a la alternativeto.net)
[13:36] Vic S-F (they/them): onward & upward
[13:36] Vic S-F (they/them): Ooh thanks for that Jamie!
[13:38] asú: hey vic, i’m thinking of something similar for our network here, will message you in private to talk more! thank you for your work!
[13:38] Vic S-F (they/them): Amazing, would love to talk more asú!
[13:44] Samuel: Float [/convenings]

[13:47] Samuel: Float [/polis]
[13:47] asú: thank youuuu i managed to miss it so far!

[13:51] Jesus Torres: Great work!
